Different Prevention Effects of Ventilation Dilution on Methane Accumulation at High Temperature Zone in Coal Mine Goafs

In coal mine goafs, spontaneous combustion of can result in methane accumulation, which raises the danger explosion disasters. As an atmospheric control tool, ventilation is applied to ensure air quality for avoiding disasters underground mines. However, during process impact dilution on possible explosions induced by has not been well investigated. this study, a validated gas flow model environment goafs mines adopted investigate influence at three stages coal. The research conclusions suggest that (1) quick measure dilute concentration and intensify heat transfer vertical direction goafs; (2) lessen diluting lower explosive limit when takes place air-inlet side; (3) however, increases risk decreasing concentration, resulting limits, if occurs air-return side. This provides reference management disaster with methane.
